Cincinnati Bengals running back Cedric Benson will spend his bye week this season in jail after pleading no contest to a misdemeanor assault charge. He was sentenced to 20 days in jail for attacking a bar employee in downtown Austin.
Benson will turn himself in on October 17th when the Bengals bye week begins.
A county attorney believes that Benson will only have to serve a week in jail for credit towards good behavior.
Wow, it’s really sad when you have to schedule your jail time around your job.
