Cedric Benson says the Jets, Packers checked in on him

So far this summer the only team that we know of that’s shown some interest in free agent running back Cedric Benson, is the Oakland Raiders.
Benson was a guest on Sirius XM NFL Radio with Adam Schein and said that the New York Jets and Green Bay Packers checked in on him earlier in the summer.
With a below average running back in Shonn Green, the Jets need to bring in Benson to resurrect their running game. The Packers on the other hand should be fine with James Starks.
