CBS charging $3.8 million for 30 second Super Bowl ad

According to John Ourand of SportsBuisnessDaily.com, CBS has already sold 80 percent of the designated ad space that is available for this season’s Super Bowl.  There are only a handful of spots left.

CBS is reportedly charging $3.8 million for every 30 seconds of air time, which is a record.

Just a few weeks ago CBS said they had sold 50 percent of the space, which means they’ve sold another 30 percent since then.

“The game has moved early,” said John Bogusz, executive vice president of sales and marketing for CBS Sports, per Sports Buisness Daily. “We’re certainly well ahead of where we were three years ago [the last time CBS carried the game].“
