Former Oregon linebacker Casey Mathews, the brother of Green Bay Packers linebacker Clay Mathews, worked out at Oregon’s pro day this past Thursday.
Mathews hasn’t been a player that works out well, but when you put the film on, his motor is very impressive. He’s a bit undersized as a linebacker at 6’1″ 232 pounds. Ideally he needs to get his weight between 245 to 255 pounds or he will get manhandled on the NFL level.
Mathews’ workout numbers were as follows,
40 yard dash – 4.79 & 4.80 seconds
Short shuttle 4.13 seconds
3-cone drills – 7.09 seconds
Broad jump – 9 feet t5 inches
Vertical jump – 32 1/ inches
