Linebacker Clay Matthews Jr. Was held out and is hoping to be ready for training camp, per Lori Nickel of the Journal-Sentinel.
Packers outside linebacker Clay Matthews didn’t practice Thursday with the Packers but he sounded optimistic that he might be ready to go when training camp breaks on July 25.
He said he expects to be limited during the OTAs and that means watching practice while standing on the sidelines.
“It’s been a long offseason with the surgeries and rehab and physical therapy,” said Matthews. “But it’s definitely coming along. I’m doing everything I can to get out there as soon as I can. I don’t see there being any hindrance towards the beginning of the season, towards camp. But obviously I am speaking a few months in advance.”
