Despite the fact that the Houston Texans are now 0-5 under quarterback Case Keenum, he’ll continue to start.
Head coach Gary Kubiak says Keenum is a “confident kid” and will continue to support him. Even though he did bench him a couple of weeks ago.
“It’s part of a growth process for him,” Kubiak said via the Houston Chronicle. “As coaches, you try to do everything you can to put him in a successful situation. He’s done a lot of good things, had some early success. The last couple of weeks have been a little tougher.”
Keenum’s rating against the Jaguars on Sunday was only 54.7.
“He’s battling, continues to do good stuff,” Kubiak said. “We’ve got to find a way to eliminate some of the mistakes and some of the things that are happening to him. … You want to find the young man some success.”
