According to Jason Cole of the National Football Post, 49ers cornerback Carlos Rogers (hamstring) isn’t expected to play in this week’s playoff game against the Packers.
San Francisco cornerback Carlos Rogers will test his injured hamstring Wednesday, but is not ex-pected to play in the 49ers playoff opener at Green Bay on Sunday. Rogers was injured in the season finale against Arizona and had an MRI on the hamstring on Monday. Initial results were not promising.
“We’ll see, but knowing hamstrings the way I do, I wouldn’t expect him to play,” a source said.
The 49ers will need Tramaine Brock and Eric Wright to step up in Rogers’ place.
