Panthers rookie quarterback Cam Newton has thrown for over 400 yards for the second straight game, which is an amazing achievement for a first year NFL quarterback.
Despite the Panthers losing to the Packers, Newton showed that no matter how tough things may get, he’ll do all he can to help his team win. He initially started the game out by completing 10 of his first 12. Then he hit a dry spell which allowed the Packers to resurrect themselves from the dead and take control of the game.
No matter how many games the Panthers win this season one thing’s for sure, they’ll compete each and every week with Newton as their quarterback.

I have enjoyed the NFL for approx. 2 yrs, which is not very long, I am still learning, but what I see is a rookie QB that is interested in his numbers, what happened to being a good leader and the team playing together to win, it just seems to me he is not as interested in getting his team together as he is in his own numbers “proclaining he is great”.
Mickey, I’ve gotten a different feeling about Cam. I’ve seen his leadership on the field which has kept this Panthers team in games until the end. I believe his numbers so high because of how competitive he is.
