Cam Newton, the popular Carolina Panthers quarterback, has challenged Calvin Johnson to a duel, so to speak. In a video posted earlier today, Newton challenges the Detroit Lions wide receiver, also known by his nickname, “Megatron,” to a game of Madden to determine who should grace the cover of the latest edition of the popular interactive football game.
With only a few more days of voting left, Newton also uses the video as opportunity to beg anyone watching to vote for him over Johnson and to thank everyone who has voted for him so far.
Towards the end of the video, Cam Newton opens up the challenge to anyone who wants to play him on Madden. All a player has to do is email him at playcam@cam1newton.com and include his or her name, phone number, and gamer tag.
Incidentally, Newton says on the video that he doesn’t believe in the Madden curse.
