During Sunday’s overtime loss to the New York Jets, Miami Dolphins running back Reggie Bush ended up leaving and never returning after suffering a knee injury.

After the game, Jets linebacker Calvin Pace made it sound like they intentionally tried to injure Bush.

“Reggie, I guess he was doing his thing for a quarter or two,” Pace said, per the New York Post. “We had to put him on out. We didn’t see him again.”

Whether the NFL likes it or not, players will always try to take out opposing players in order to give themselves a competitive advantage. In this case, the Jets knew they couldn’t win if Bush didn’t get knocked out of the game.
