California tattoo parlor selling $49 49ers’ tattoos

According to the San Jose Mercury News, a tattoo parlor in the San Francisco area is selling $49 49ers tattoos in celebration of their team playing in next week’s Super Bowl.

“We’re super excited, so we decided, ‘Why not?’ ” said Andrew Moskito, manager of Allied Ink Tattoos & Piercings.

The tattoo shop is discounting full-color, 49ers-themed designs to just $49 in honor of the team’s ascendance to the Super Bowl. The tattoos are limited to about the size of a palm.

“Normally, they’d be about $120,” Moskito said, noting that the shop’s minimum fee is usually $50.

The event runs next week on the two days before the Super Bowl, but Samantha Stout of Napa misread the information and showed up Friday. Still, Stout decided to get a 49ers logo on the back of her neck at full price.

“I’ve been a 49ers fan since I was 5. … It’s something I was planning anyway,” Stout said about an hour before tattoo artist Daniel Thomas Chambers began putting red and gold ink on her skin.

If I could get a tattoo (I have a blood disease) and I was a 49ers fan I would certainly jump on this opportunity.
