Bucs spoke with the Cardinals, several other teams about trading Mike Glennon

Buccaneers general manager Jason Licht admits they spoke with the Cardinals about a possible trade that would involve quarterback Mike Glennon, according to NFL.com.

Bucs general manager Jason Licht confirmed to Phoenix’s KGME on Tuesday that the Cardinals were one of several teams to engage in conversations about a potential Glennon trade early last month.

Cardinals counterpart Steve Keim is one of Licht’s closest friends, so it’s natural that they would touch base on a strong-armed quarterback viewed as a perfect fit for Bruce Arians’ vertical offense.

Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reported that the Cardinals weren’t the only team.
