Bucs’ Mike Williams lands on IR

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced today that they’ve placed wide receiver Mike Williams on season ending injured reserve with a hamstring injury.

On Monday, the Buccaneers placed Williams, their second-leading receiver and the team’s top touchdown producer since 2010, on injured reserve. That same hamstring injury was the culprit; Williams had played through the ailment in several games before and after the one he sat out, but now he’ll have a chance to let it heal.

The Buccaneers did not immediately fill the new opening on their 53-man roster.
