According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers signed free agent cornerback Eric Wright to a five-year $37.5 million deal, with $15.5 million guaranteed.
Wright signed a one-year contract last season with the Lions and proved that he’s worth investing in. The only problem is that the Loins couldn’t afford to keep him. But the Bucs were clearly interested since they need an upgrade at the corner position.
Wright had 74 tackles, 1 forced fumble and 4 interceptions in 2011.
