According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed free agent wide receiver Vincent Jackson to a five-year $55.55 million deal with $26 million guaranteed . He’ll make $36 million in the first two years.
The addition of Jackson, gives quarterback Josh Freeman a true number one receiver that will help him continue to develop as a young signal caller.
The word around the league seems to be that the Buccaneers aren’t done spending. They’re still trying to sign guard Carl Nicks and possibly linebacker Curtis Lofton.
