Browns thought about cutting Armonty Bryant following DUI arrest

Cleveland Browns head coach Rob Chudzinski told the Cleveland Plain-Dealer that they thought about cutting defensive lineman Armonty Bryant after his recent DUI arrest.

“We discussed all the options and ultimately decided that we wanted to bring him in and sit down and talk to him, and that’s the process we went through,” Chudzinski said.

Bryant says he was worried the Browns would release him.

“I’m just fortunate the Browns still have faith in me and this organization and everything and hopefully I can win a spot on this 53-man roster.”

Bryant understands the Browns will release him if he gets arrested again.

“I understand and I’m just going to take this opportunity to let my actions on the field speak,” he said.

Hopefully Bryant will stay out of trouble and take advantage of the opportunity he has.
