The Cleveland Browns ended up pulling the trigger and traded up one spot and acquired the 3rd overall pick to ensure they would be able to draft former Alabama running back Trent Richardson.
Then with the 22nd overall pick the Browns took former Oklahoma State quarterback Brandon Weeden, who might be able to come in and start right away.
Browns general manager Tom Heckert indicated that they eventually plan on making Weeden to starter.
“Eventually [Weeden's] going to be a starter for us,” said Heckert. “That’s what we draft him for.”
The Browns added two very good offensive players tonight, but they still need to make sure they add a threat at the receiver position that will give Weeden a target to throw to.Follow PFZ on Twitter @ProFootballZone
