Browns, Brandon Weeden hit a road block in contract negotiations

According to Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain-Dealer, the reason Brandon Weeden hasn’t signed his rookie contract is because there’s a hold up between his reps and the Browns over guaranteed money.  He wants all four years of his deal guaranteed and the Browns don’t seem willing to give him that.

Even though the NFL now has a rookie sloting system, guaranteed money can still hold things up.  The three players that were taken after Weeden in the first round are going through the same obstacle right now.
