The Denver Broncos know they need to add a running back to their roster this offseason.
According to the Denver Post, the Broncos took a look at free agent Ahmad Bradshaw this offseason.
The Broncos also took long looks at Ahmad Bradshaw and Shonn Greene. Greene signed a three-year, $10 million deal with the Tennessee Titans that included a $2.5 million signing bonus, totals the Broncos weren’t looking to reach.
Bradshaw is still unsigned. When healthy, he is just the kind of hard-edged runner the Broncos want. But he just got out of a walking boot last month after surgery to insert a screw in his right foot to repair a fracture.
Bradshaw is a good running back, but I’m not sure how he can help the Broncos. His feet are falling apart. They’ve been held together with screws for the past three years and still manage to break every year.
The best move for the Broncos would be to draft a back in the mid to late rounds.
