Broncos executive Matt Russell sentenced to 7 months in jail for DUI

Matt RussellDenver Broncos director of player personnel Matt Russell was sentenced to 7 months in jail and two years probation this past Friday after being arrested and charged with DUI, careless driving and possession of an open container of alcohol last year.

Colorado Judicial Branch spokesman Rob McCallum informed NFL Media that Russell also will be eligible for work release.

Russell was suspended by Denver in July of last year, when he was charged with DUI after being accused of driving into a police vehicle in Breckenridge, Colorado. An officer inside the silver 2011 Chevrolet Tahoe was not seriously hurt, per the Colorado State Patrol.
