According to Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune, Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher says he plans on playing in this week’s season opener against the Colts.
“Brian Urlacher says his left knee is pain-free and he intends to play Sunday when the Chicago Bears kick off the season against the Indianapolis Colts at Soldier Field,” wrote Biggs.
Urlacher told Fox-32’s The Final Word, that his knee “just isn’t the same anymore. It’s never going to be the same,” per Biggs.
I will be very surprised if the 34 year-old Urlacher is able to make it through this entire season with having any problems with his knee.
With Urlacher’s contract running out at the end of this season, I wouldn’t expect the Bears to re-sign him.
