Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher is currently sitting out this week’s OTA’s and may not participate in next month’s minicamp as well. He’s still recovering from a sprained MCL and PCL in his left knee that he suffered during the Bears’ 2011 season finale.
The good news is that Urlacher is getting healthier and isn’t worried about his knee.
“It’s getting better,” Urlacher said. “I’m on schedule, so I feel good. At this stage, I know the defense pretty well. I’m not worried about being out there and not knowing what I’m doing.”
Urlacher expects to be ready for training camp.
“Definitely training camp, I think,” he said. “The OTAs are not as important.”
