The San Francisco 49ers released wide receiver Bralyon Edwards on Tuesday.
Edwards broke the news himself via his Twitter account.
“I was released today by the 49ers due to my injury that required more time to rehab and hasn’t allowed me to re-sync with the offense,” wrote Edwards via Twitter.
It was clear that Edwards had fallen out of favor in San Francisco, since he’s been inactive over the past few weeks.
At this point, with Edwards’ health being in question, I don’t believe any teams will look into picking him up off waivers for the playoffs.
