According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Browns quarterback Brandon Weeden will not need to undergo surgery on his thumb and could be back next week.

It will be interesting to see if Weeden starts next week. Brian Hoyer will get a chance this week to show the coaches and front office executives that he can be their starter.
We already know the Browns aren’t promising Weeden his job back.
