As bad as New England Patriots wide receiver Chad Ochocinco has been playing this season, evidence continues to show that quarterback Tom Brady is still behind him.
According to Michael David Smith of ProFootballTalk.com, the cameras of NFL Films caught Brady encouraging Ochocinco after a play in which they weren’t able to connect on crucial third down against the Giants this past Sunday.
“You’re doing good,” Brady told Ochocinco. “You’re doing good. Just keep playing hard. That’s all I want.”
It’s really nice of Brady to try and help Ochocinco by attempting to show confidence in him, but come on, it’s so obvious that he’s having a terrible year.
Ochocinco has only 9 receptions for 136 yards and 0 touchdowns this season. The clocking is ticking and it might be time to let him take a walk.
