After moving cornerback Aaron Williams from cornerback to safety during the Bills’ spring workouts, they were pretty happy with what they saw.
“I think he’s ahead of schedule of where we thought he would be,” said Bills defensive coordinator Mike Pettine of Williams, via BuffaloBills.com. ”He’s flashed just the things that we saw in him as far as being a safety. He’s had some interceptions and obviously his range his ability to get sideline to sideline is obviously something we’re going to take advantage of.”
With Jairus Byrd holding out for a new contract, they Bills will need Williams to step in and help them not miss Byrd too much.
