According to Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer, Bengals owner Mike Brown has reiterated that he will not be trading quarterback Carson Palmer prior to Tuesday’s NFL trade deadline.
“I don’t have anything more to say on that. I’ve had my say on that, and it remains all there is to say,” Brown said.
Brown said that the Bengals would likely not be involved in any trades and that none are being discussed at the moment.
Brown did leave the door open for Palmer to be traded in the offseason. After being asked if Palmer could be dealt next year, he said that’s an option for any player.
Once the trade deadline passes, teams won’t be able to make any trades until March 2nd 2012, which is the beginning of the new league year.
