Bengals’ Mohamed Sanu likely done for the season

According to Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer, Bengals wide receiver Mohamed Sanu suffered a stress fracture in his left foot and will likely be out for the remainder of the season.

Rookie wide receiver Mohamed Sanu suffered a stress fracture to the fifth metatarsal in his left foot. Head coach Marvin Lewis said after Friday’s practice and before the team left for San Diego that Sanu is likely to have surgery on Monday. It is likely that Sanu will be placed on injured reserve next week but the team will wait until after surgery before making any move.

“It’s unfortunate for Mo and for us but we’ll pick it up and move forward,” Lewis said.

“It’s just another weird thing that we’ve had this year unfortunately.”

Sanu has been playing great over the past few weeks, this is a big blow to the Bengals’ offense.
