Newly acquired Cincinnati Bengals guard Jacob Bell, an eight year veteran of the NFL, has decided to call it quits. The Bengals signed the offensive lineman on April 12th, but Bell has opted to walk away from the sport he loves. “There were a lot of factors and discussions with my family and myself and I think it was the right decision to be made,” he said.
Bell arrived in Cincinnati from the Rams where he was an anchor for the offensive line for the past four seasons. Prior to his tenure in St. Louis, Bell had been a starter for the Tennessee Titans from 2004 to 2007. Drafted by Tennessee in the 5th round of the 2004 NFL Draft, Bell has 100 NFL starts to his credit.
