Cincinnati Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis was interviewed on ESPN 101 in St. Louis and was asked about rookie quarterback Andy Dalton possibly starting week 1.
“Well that’s something we are going to have to see what happens and how it plays out, but there’s no question when we selected Andy Dalton we selected him with that in mind that he’d possibly be our opening day starting quarterback.”
Lewis obviously can’t label as the Starter just yet since he’s a rookie and hasn’t even played a preseason game yet. But with guys like Jordan Palmer and Dan Lefevour on the Bengals’ roster, it’s very likely that Dalton will start out the 2011 season as the starting quarterback.
So far the good news is that Dalton’s teammates have been impressed by his work ethnic and skills so far during player workouts.
