Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger made it clear on his weekly radio show that he’s not crazy about running the Wildcat.
“It’s not that I don’t like it,” Roethlisberger said Tuesday on his radio show, per SteelCityInsider.net via NFL.com. “If it helps us win, I’m all for it. I just told coach I get actually physically tired running out to wide receiver all the time.”
Big Ben also seems to not mind getting hit by opposing defenders when he’s lined up as a receiver.
“They can (take a shot at me),” he said. “I’m a little bigger than those defensive backs. I wouldn’t want them to try it.”
I thought the Wildcat was dead. This goes to show you how bad the Steelers running game was before Le’Veon Bell came back. They had to jump start things some how.
