Chicago Bears cornerback Danieal Manning was offered a contract extension during the season worth $6 million dollars over three years, with $2 million guaranteed.
He chose to reject that offer and now the Bears have placed a restricted free agent tender on him.
Manning would more than likely be able to command more money as a free agent. He will have to wait and see what the new rules will be under a new CBA. The new rules may or may not force him to be a restricted free agent.
