According to Jeff Dickerson of ESPNChicago.com, the Chicago Bears will likely give quarterback Josh McCown a shot at reviving the Bears stagnant offense. It all depends on how well McCown performs in practice this week.
“I have no idea,” McCown said when he was asked if he was told he’d be starting this week against the Packers. “I’m just gonna get myself ready like I’ve done every week, and then we’ll see what happens.”
The Bears current starter Caleb Hanie threw three interceptions last week, two of which were returned for touchdowns against the Seahawks.
The Bears are just trying to do what they can at this point to stay alive in the NFC playoff hunt. Right now it looks like they’ll be home during the month of Janurary.
