Free agent center Olin Kreutz would love to re-sign with the Chicago Bears since they’ve been the only team he’s known for the past 14 seasons. Linebacker Brian Urlacher is well aware of Kreutz’s value to the Bears.
“We’ve got to get Olin back,” said Urlacher. ”He’s been a core guy since I’ve been here.”
Right now going into free agency the Bears may have some competition for Kreutz’s services. There are a few teams that could be looking for veteran help on their offensive line.
The San Francisco 49ers just lost their center Eric Heitmann for the upcoming season due to neck surgery. Other potential suitors are the New Orleans Saints, Arizona Cardinals and Kansas City Chiefs.
I believe the only way Kreutz doesn’t come back to Chicago is if he doesn’t like the amount of money the Bears are willing to offer him and would rather make more money somewhere else.
