Austin Collie plans on continuing his NFL career

Despite suffering multiple concussions over the course of his short NFL career, wide receiver Austin Collie doesn’t plan on retiring after being released this past week by the Colts.

“I’m playing,’’ said Collie, per the Indy Star. “Right now, it would take a doctor to tell me, ‘You can’t play anymore.’

“I feel like this is a gift that I’ve been given, and personally I feel I should still be doing it. That’s just me.’’

It seems like Collie isn’t phased by the concussions he’s suffered so far in his career.  I’m sure at least one team will give him a chance this coming season, but if he can’t stay healthy, his career will soon be over.
