According to Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times, Frank Perez, the attorney of Buccaneers cornerback Aqib Talib has announced that the charges of assault with a deadly weapon that were handed down by the Dallas County prosecutors have been dismissed.

Perez said that the county prosecutors had a chance to review the evidence and decided to drop the charges.  This is obviously great news for Talib and his NFL career.  He now needs to thank his lucky stars and stay out of trouble, in order to take advantage of the blessing he has to play pro football.
