According to Jeff McClane of the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Philadelphia Eagles have officially traded cornerback Asante Samuel to the Atlanta Falcons. Right now we don’t know what Eagles received in compensation, but will update this post once we find out.
Samuel agreed to a three-year, $18.5 million deal with the Falcons in order to take a pay cut to make the deal happen. He was scheduled to make $21.4 million over the next two years in Philly.
Update: The Eagles received a 7th round pick in return for Samuel.Follow PFZ on Twitter @ProFootballZone
