Last year the Chicago Bears’ relied heavily on receiver Brandon Marshall. So much that it would be a common sight to see two cornerbacks lined up directly in front of Marshall on a lot of passing plays.  Marshall has undergone three hip surgeries in his career and while Marshall did recover quickly from the previous two, it is fair to wonder if the recent surgery Marshall underwent in January will affect him in the long run.

Via NFL.com, Gregg Rosenthal passes along an article from the Chicago Tribune($) where author Bradd Briggs wonders whether the team has these same concerns about Brandon Marshall’s health.

The Bears can’t afford to lose Brandon Marshall this year. Like previously noted, Marshall was relied upon heavily last year to rack up those yards. While the Bears also can’t afford to rely so heavily on one receiver, losing him would be even worse. Marshall is easily the best receiver on the team and it isn’t even close.
