Patriots cornerback Aqib Talib doesn’t feel like he was actually playing in the NFL until he left the Buccaneers and starting play in New England.
“I’ve been in the NFL since ’08,” Talib said via the Boston Herald. “But I’ve really been in the NFL since November of 2012.”
Talib isn’t worried about his contract situation right now.
Yet, just like this time last year, Talib won’t commit to any such conversation, deferring to the weekly job at hand to squash any distraction in the present or concede any leverage in the future.
Talib loves all the big games the Patriots play in opposed to how the Bucs haven’t played in many.
“When you grow up and you want to be in the NFL, this is what you think of,” Talib said. “You think of this time right here on this team right here.”
