Antonio Cromartie won’t need to undergo offseason hip surgery

antonio cromartieJets cornerback Antonio Cromartie will not need to undergo hip surgery and believes he’ll be better thane ever next season.

“I will be better than I was in 2012,:” said Cromartie via ESPN.com.

He admits this season was tough from a health standpoint.

“It was rough just from the standpoint [of] dealing with my hip flexor injury and trying to figure out what we got to try to do,” Cromartie said regarding the Jets rough season. “I think it was frustrating for me just because I wasn’t able to play at a level I needed to play at.”

Cromartie did say he’s feeling better.

“I feel good,” Cromartie said. “First time since about the second week of the preseason that I feel close to 100 percent.”
