According to Calvin Watkins of ESPNDallas.com, Cowboys defensive end Anthony Spencer still hasn’t been cleared for practice.
With preparations starting this week for the regular-season opener against the New York Giants, Dallas Cowboys starting defensive end Anthony Spencer isn’t expected to practice Monday according to a source.
Spencer hasn’t practiced since July 21 when a knee problem, which surfaced during the offseason workouts, acted up during a conditioning test.
Spencer had minor knee surgery July 25 with the hope he would play at least one preseason game. When that didn’t happen, the goal was to push Spencer to play in the opener Sept. 8.
It looks like both the Giants with Jason Pierre-Paul and the Cowboys with Spencer, will be down to one starting defensive end for this Sunday night’s opener.
