Cowboys defensive end Anthony Spencer has finally started to run as he continues to recover from microfracture surgery. He isn’t sure though when he’ll be back on the field.
“It’s one thing to be able to run and then another whole thing to play football, so I’ve got a little ways to go,” Spencer said, via Todd Archer of ESPNDallas.com. “But it’s progress and that’s basically what I’ve been showing this whole time.”
There’s still a chance Spencer could being training camp on the PUP list.
“We’ve been doing it in a way that it’s not too sore after, and I’ve been able to come back and do some more stuff the next day, so we’re just progressing,” Spencer said.
The good news is that Spencer doesn’t have any doubt he’ll play in 2014.
