Andy Reid's son found dead at training camp
Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman announced on Sunday that head coach Andy Reid would not be at practice after learning that his son, Garrett Reid was found dead in his dorm room at Lehigh University, where the Eagles have held their training camp.
“He’s been strong for us, we’re going to be strong for him right now,” said Roseman.
As of right now, no one knows cause of Garrett’s death.
“What I can tell you is this morning we were contacted by the Lehigh campus police department and (were) requested to respond for the discovery of a deceased male,” Northampton County Coroner Zachary Lysek told the Associated Press. “We are conducting an investigation with the cooperation of the Lehigh campus police department and I personally pronounced Mr. Reid deceased at the scene.”
Reid reportedly plans on coaching this week’s preseason game.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Reid family.
