Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid was a guest on NFL Total Access and said that he’d recommend free agent quarterback Donovan McNabb to any team looking for a signal caller.
“I tell them to take him,” Reid said. “I still think he can play. I think the world of him, and we had some great years together here. I’m always wishing him the best and a fan of his. I got a chance to see him at Brian Dawkins‘ retirement (ceremony). He looks good. He looks physically good. He looks like he could go out and play tomorrow. I would highly recommend (him).”
Reid might recommend that a team checks out McNabb, but I highly doubt he’d take him back if he was looking for a veteran quarterback right now.
McNabb showed over the past two seasons that he may have been a product of Reid’s system, despite a successful career in Philly.
