On Wednesday, an article was posted on the New York Daily News by Gary Myers that stated that former New York Giants tight end Jeremy Shockey wants to come back to the Giants after forcing his way out of New York, four years ago.
As a former Giants teammate of Shockey’s, Amani Toomer thought he’d chime in with his thoughts about Shockey’s interest in playing for the Giants.
Toomer tweeted the following, “No!!Shockey”I will never play4 you again!”he yelled at jerry Reese in 08. Let him keep his word. Bad teammate, worse person.”
Once Toomer posted that tweet, it prompted Shockey to reply with his own tweet.
Shockey tweeted, “It’s funny how the Ny media still try’s to make money off me! Can anyone find a quote from me on me wanting to play for the GAINTS?”
Shockey continued, “Amani Toomer on Jeremy Shockey: Bad teammate, Haha. Well he was the lazy one that broke my leg!!”
Toomer then closed things out with one last tweet, “Shockey,Thanks 4 proving my statement about being a bad person. Lieing about my EX.Low blow.Enough said.Have a nice day& good luck as a FA”
There’s no way Shockey will be welcomed back to the Giants with the way he burned his bridges within that organization. He’s also clearly rubbed some of his former teammates the wrong way and can be considered a locker room cancer.Follow PFZ on Twitter @ProFootballZone
