Alex Smith: “We’d love to stick it” to the doubters

With Chiefs head coach Andy Reid now in Kansas City after being fired in Philly and after quarterback Alex Smith lost his starting job last season with the 49ers,  Smith says they’re ready to stick it to the doubters this year.

“We’d love to stick it to everybody who thought we couldn’t do it, he and I included,” Smith, 29, said in a recent interview. He added, “It’s every person here.”

Reid is a proven head coach that did a great job in making the Eagles a Super Bowl contender on a yearly basis.

Smith on the other hand needs to prove that he can succeed without 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh who helped turn his free-falling career around.

At the end of the day, the Chiefs have the talent to contend for a playoff spot this season.
