According to Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun, now that the Super Bowl is over and quarterback Dennis Dixon’s practice squad contract has expired with the Ravens, his agent says he’s talking with the Philadelphia Eagles.
Agent Jeff Sperbeck told The Baltimore Sun that he’s in talks with the Eagles about potentially working out a deal for Dixon.
Dixon’s father reiterated to The Sun while attending the Super Bowl that his son was hoping to reunite with Kelly in Philadelphia, praising Kelly’s innovative, fast-break offensive schemes.
Under the NFL collective bargaining agreement, Dixon is free to sign with the Eagles or any other NFL team at any time and doesn’t have to wait until the start of free agency March 12.
When Dixon left Pittsburgh a couple if years ago, he was looking for a team he had a chance to start for. Now he might get the shot he’s been waiting for.
