Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson recently told SI.com that his goal is to rush for 2,500 yards this coming season.
“It’s not something I’m going to focus on early. I’ll let the chips fall where they may. I’ve got my bar set for 2,500 yards,” Peterson said, per NFL.com. “If I can go over that, the record will be shattered. But ultimately I want a couple rings. You gotta start at one.”
Peterson also believes the Vikings can be a Super Bowl team.
“I feel like we have the potential to get to the Super Bowl and win,” Peterson said. “It’s all about coming together as a unit.”
Well, I won’t be the one to tell Peterson he can’t rush or 2,500 yards. The guy was a monster last season.
