Adrian Peterson wins NFL MVP award, Peyton Manning is the comeback player

Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson has been named the NFL’s Most Valuable Player of the 2012 season after literally carrying his team to the playoffs while rushing for over 2,000 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Peterson was also named the AP offensive player of the year award.

Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning ended up winning the Comeback Player of the Year award after missing the entire 2011 due to numerous neck procedures.

Manning threw for 4,659 yards, 37 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.
