Report: Adrian Peterson might need groin surgery

adrian petersonAccording to To Peliserro of USA TODAY Sports,  Vikings running back Adrian Peterson is scheduled to meet with Dr. William Meyers to figure out if he’ll need to undergo offseason groin surgery.

Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson is scheduled to visit Philadelphia-based specialist Dr. William Meyers next week to evaluate his troublesome groin and decide if surgery is needed, a person with knowledge of the situation told USA TODAY Sports on Saturday.

The person spoke on condition of anonymity because they weren’t authorized to discuss the situation publicly.

Peterson missed the final three games of the season due to his injured groin and recently had to drop out of the Pro Bowl.
